Definition of Terms

Body Autonomy

Every individual has control over whom or what uses their body, for what, and for how long. Generally considered a human right.

Boundary Setting

Expressing personal guidelines, rules or limits that a person creates to identify reasonable, safe and permissible ways for other people to behave towards them, and how they will respond when someone passes those limits. 


A tactic in which a person or entity, in order to gain more power, makes a victim question their reality. 

Covert Bullying

Bullying in an indirect way that often happens online or in friend groups.  

Love Bombing

An attempt to influence another by showing them extreme displays of affection, gifts and compliments very early in a relationship. 

Toxic Relationships

When two people feel an intense draw toward one another, despite the pain they are both caused by the relationship.

Gut Feelings

A chemical  signal that your stomach creates, to warn your brain of danger. 


When a person takes an excessive interest in or admiration of oneself and one's appearance to others.
